Role Overview As a MTS Software Engineer within eBay's Identity team, you will focus on developing and supporting Identity Services including Authentication, Authorization, Onboarding, User Management, Web Services Security, Device Fingerprinting, and Account Linking/Entity Resolution. Your work will involve implementing ID Federation protocols like OAuth and OpenId Connect. This role is crucial in maintaining the eBay platform, servicing hundreds of millions of users across both Desktop and Mobile. What You Will Do Independently lead complex technical initiatives within and beyond your team. Drive technical direction and roadmap, leads across domain teams and guides others towards the right technical decisions. Authors ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) that serves as blueprint or a proposed solution for a given technical problem and influences overall tech strategy. Why It Might Be a Fit You will bring experience in creating and driving technical strategy and roadmap across multiple domains. Balanced trade-offs to ship scalable solutions supporting long-term goals. Successfully forge alignments with key stakeholders on significant architecture decisions and technical direction for ambiguous problem areas through Architectural Decision Records (ADR).
