Role Overview This is a lead individual contributor role for a product designer ready to shape sophisticated digital experiences across strategically important product areas. You will combine exceptional design craft, product thinking, systems thinking, and customer empathy to influence product direction and quality. Working closely with product and engineering leaders, you will translate complex customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints into intuitive, scalable experiences. What You Will Do Lead design strategy and execution for one or more strategically important product pillars, from discovery and definition through delivery and iteration. Translate customer needs, business goals, product strategy, and technical constraints into clear experience strategies, design roadmaps, and product direction. Why It Might Be a Fit Influence senior-level product decisions through customer insights, data synthesis, product judgment, compelling storytelling, and strong design rationale. Mentor designers and raise the quality of work across multiple teams through critique, coaching, shared standards, documentation, and systems thinking. Requirements 7+ years of relevant product design experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership, mentorship, or design-direction capacity. Strong experience designing SaaS, B2B, platform, workflow-heavy, or similarly complex digital products. An exceptional portfolio demonstrating systematic thinking, customer empathy, sophisticated design craft, measurable product impact, and leadership beyond individual feature execution. Proven ability to lead data-informed product design across research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, content strategy, and usability testing. Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a deep understanding of hierarchy, layout, typography, grids, spacing, motion, usability, accessibility, and product quality. Experience designing AI-driven or intelligent interfaces and collaborating with machine learning, data, automation, or platform teams. Deep proficiency with design systems, accessibility standards, reusable patterns, and scalable product experience decisions. Demonstrated ability to influence design direction for high-impact product areas, platforms, systems, or product pillars rather than only individual features. Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, data specialists, customer-facing teams, senior stakeholders, and designers. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts, lead critiques and workshops, present design rationale, and influence decisions. Experience mentoring designers and strengthening design practices, standards, processes, and team culture. Mandatory experience using AI-powered tools for design exploration, prototyping, critique, synthesis, or workflow acceleration. Strong ability to balance speed, detail, scalability, and design quality while maintaining a clear focus on customer outcomes. Ability to work effectively across distributed, multicultural, and international teams with flexibility around working hours.
