Role Overview We are looking for a Director to lead and evolve the engineering platforms and infrastructure that power Carousell Group at scale. What You Will Do You will help shape how our engineering organisation builds, operates and scales systems while driving the adoption of AI-native and agentic engineering practices across the organisation. Why It Might Be a Fit You should be able to engage with senior engineers on architecture and technical decisions while also leading managers and engineering organisations through complex, multi-year initiatives. Requirements Significant experience leading large-scale engineering organisations in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure / SRE and/or Data Engineering. Deep technical expertise in at least two of the three areas while having enough breadth across all three to effectively lead teams with deeper specialists. Strong hands-on experience driving AI-native or agentic engineering adoption within an engineering organisation. Strong distributed systems architecture and design expertise. A track record of successfully building, scaling and operating high-scale platforms or systems. Experience leading complex technical initiatives from architecture through execution and operations. Strong technical judgement with the ability to engage credibly with Principal and Senior Engineers.
