Role Overview PlayPower Labs is a US-based company with a development center in Gandhinagar, India, that builds software for leading EdTech companies. The company is fully remote and has been since before COVID. They believe technology is a force multiplier for education and are looking for a high-energy DevOps engineer to own how real products ship and run. What You Will Do The DevOps engineer will design, provision, and run cloud infrastructure, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerize services, own cloud security, and keep the fleet current. They will also treat other engineers as users, keep systems reliable, and watch cloud spend. Why It Might Be a Fit The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience, be strong with AWS, and have solid experience with infrastructure as code. They will also be comfortable with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security, and have a startup energy with ownership, speed, and curiosity. Requirements 2-5 years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience Strong with AWS across compute, networking, storage, and identity Solid with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar) Comfortable with Docker and managed orchestration (ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes, or similar) Experienced building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) Good scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) and genuinely comfortable operating on Linux Hands-on with observability and monitoring: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting Real cloud security depth: IAM and least privilege, secrets management, credential rotation, network boundaries, and OWASP basics Benefits Remote work Competitive pay Real ownership Space to experiment A small team that cares about building good products without corporate theater
