Full Job Description

Role Overview As a Data Analyst at Portcast, you will be reporting directly to the Analytics Manager and working closely with the Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the data we ingest into the models and share with customers is error-free and of the highest quality. You will own the problem end to end, not just flagging it, and will be responsible for documenting, reporting, and root-cause analysis of prediction issues. What You Will Do You will analyze ingested and system-generated data for anomalies and gaps, and refer to various data sources to plug those gaps. You will turn data into stories, surface the pattern behind an issue, propose the fix (QA process-flow change and/or automation), and own the subsequent plan and execution. You will also automate performance/accuracy review processes, report generation, and data visualization using Python and SQL. Why It Might Be a Fit We are looking for a Data Analyst who is exceptionally skilled in Python and SQL, with a demonstrated ability to consistently produce reusable and highly scalable code. You should have an eye for detail, be a First Principles Thinker, and be Curious by Default. You should also be able to communicate nuanced ideas clearly and have experience working in a diverse, dynamic, and cross-cultural team.
