Role Overview As a Backend Engineer, you'll design and build services, APIs, and data layers for production systems, working alongside clients, product, and other engineers. You'll own the parts of the system that have to be right, focusing on correctness, performance, and observability. You'll work with tools like Claude Code and Codex, and be expected to push AI coding practices further. What You Will Do Design and build scalable services in Node / TypeScript, implement REST and GraphQL APIs, model data in PostgreSQL, review code, troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues, and contribute to the team's standards, tooling, and architecture.
